About

A LITTLE HISTORY

We are a family-owned business.  Heather and Keith met while doing a hardscape project on Heather’s little Greenlake cottage in 1999. Keith encouraged Heather to take her love of gardening into the professional world with Calluna’s Gardens in 2001.  When Heather isn’t parenting, gardening, reading, or boring everyone with plant information, she is riding and showing her Morgan gelding, Battle (Merriehill Black Label, CGH), picking up her first childhood love of horses.  She rides whenever she can, and would love to have horses on their farm in Snohomish someday.

Keith Jellerson started doing exterior landscape construction in 1993, after growing up building houses in Maine with his Dad and brothers.  He founded Avalon NW Landscapes in 1996 and then joined forces with his wife, Heather, in 2013 at Calluna’s Gardens.  Keith loves a challenge and doing new and technical construction projects.  His projects have included rebuilding structures on Camp Muir on Mount Rainier, work in the San Juans, several large shoreline and hillside restoration projects, and the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show, as well as hundreds of exterior construction projects throughout our area.  Keith loves the individuality of each of our projects – that no garden is just like another.  He brings a high attention to detail and an emphasis on quality to each of his jobs.

We look forward to hearing about your goals for your garden, and how we can help you reach those goals.
